BeardedCraft General / CONTEST! Samurai Statue Build-Off!
« on: July 03, 2017, 05:16:51 pm »
Unofficial Build-Off
Samurai Statue
No Deadline
Hosted by Altois

WINNER'S PRIZE: $5,000!

That's right, a Build-Off Race. NO END DATE. First worthy entrant wins!

The town of Shigosa (coming soon!), which will be a feudal Japanese themed town, is in need of a large, awesome Samurai Statue! This isn't an ordinary Build-Off. Instead of taking all entrants and judging each one, I'm actually naming the first entrant who meets all the qualifications as the winner!

Players can build it in the Creative World.
EDIT: New members (names in dark green) who cannot build in the Creative World can contact Altois for a plot. Mail Altois a plot request, and he'll hook you up.

Qualifications:
  • Must look like a Samurai, a human in armor, with or without a weapon.
  • Must be more than 10 blocks tall, not counting the pedestal. I want to see some detail!
  • Must be less than 50 blocks tall. I don't want it to be excessive.
  • Avoid the Minecraft Avatar look; I can't stand giant block people.
  • Pedestals are optional.
  • Any material can be used.

Voting:
Please notify Altois of your entry via "/mail" or written book. Entries must include PlotMe coordinates.
Voting will be replaced by a panel of one self-appointed Judge: Altois, the founder of Shigosa. Impress me
Contest ends once there is a worthy entry. I will edit the title of this post with "ENDED!" once I find a winner.

EDIT July 9th: Added Prize, added information for unranked players to enter, and solved voting issue.

EDIT July 14th: Changed contest rules from Competition to Race, First entrant wins. No end date.

The Off Topic / Post Pictures of Your Magnificent Builds!

I'll start with something I created many years ago back when I had nobody to tell me if I was a good or terrible builder (because it was Single Player).

A simple open theater, which I always thought it looked drum-like.
