Title: Shoutbox Etiquette
Post by: Ellunas on August 01, 2013, 08:30:33 pm
General reminder and announcement:

If you've got an issue with someone, please take it up with that particular individual before doing anything else. If a civil conversation doesn't work, then go ahead and send a staff member a message explaining the situation, and he/she will follow up with appropriate action. If it's a staff member you're unhappy with and talking to him/her first did no good, send Nxck or Mike a message and he'll look into things.

Do not take your conflicts with other members to the shoutbox. I've been deleting an increasing number of these types of shouts lately, and it's pretty irritating. The adult, mature way to handle conflicts is not by sharing them with the public. I know a good number of you are not adults, but now's as good a time as any to practice if you want to earn any level of respect in the real world. Besides that, what kind of community do you think we come off as to new members checking out the forums who see arguments and accusations in the shoutbox? Not a good one, I can assure you.

So please, keep the disagreements to messages. I'll continue to delete shouts if need be, and from now on, warnings will be delivered, as well. Thanks!
