Poke, 256x is 1/4th of 512x.... you can only tell the difference if your face is close to them, though.

wouldnt it be half?   256 + 256 = 512   ???

Okay.... let me explain resource packs to everyone.

The regular 16x16 default you can see the pixels.

Although 32x32 may be twice as higher resolution as 16x16, 4 pixels in the 32x32 equals the size of 1 pixel in 16x16

wouldnt it be half?   256 + 256 = 512   ???

Technically, it would. But, as stated before, very few people with good eyes (like myself) can see that 4 pixels in 512x512 is equivalent to 1 pixel of 256x256

Poke, 256x is 1/4th of 512x.... you can only tell the difference if your face is close to them, though.

Mort, you're a smart kid to know texture packs that way. I salute you.

Oh, and here are the texture packs I use:

Extreme Photo Realism 1024x1024

R3D Craft 256x256

Silent Hill 64x64

And a custom texture pack I made.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.
